Southdowns Cardio Area

Our cardio section has an interesting variety of exercises to meet as many needs as possible.

We Offer:

  • Stair Masters
  • Treadmills
  • Crosstrainer
  • Stationary Bikes
  • Spinning Bikes
  • Rowing Machine
  • Elliptical Transport Machines
    • Like a treadmill, but no-impact on the knees and ankles

The Cario Area is used for primarily losing fat, which in turn increases lean muscle mass. In fewer words, it helps to get rid of that pot belly and help get that great body you've always wanted. If you've ever walked up a couple of flights of stairs, you've probably been huffing and puffing at the end. When you train using a good cardio workout, it increases your muscles' endurance. A cardio workout can help to increase circulation, lose weight, decrease mild stress, regulate seratonin levels (seratonin has a lot to do with sleep, other hormone levels, and about a million other things), regulate insulin production, and, in all, just makes you feel better.
